Accessibility Statement

TripsEarth is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. TripsEarth is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Measures Taken

To ensure digital accessibility, we implement the following standards:

  • Keyboard Navigability: All interactive elements (accordions, language buttons, calculator selectors, and forms) are natively operable with a keyboard.
  • Visual Styling: All text maintains a high color contrast relative to the background (WCAG AA compliant contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1).
  • Semantic HTML: Standard markup tags (`main`, `header`, `footer`, `nav`, heading hierarchies) are structured to support screen readers.
  • Descriptive Alt Text: All non-decorative travel photography and stadium images contain descriptive `alt` tags.
